Accepting a Review Invitation

Before accepting any invitation to review, please ensure that:

  • The manuscript falls within your area of expertise.
  • You can provide a fair, detailed review within the requested timeframe.
  • You have no conflicts of interest (personal, financial, or academic).
  • You can maintain complete confidentiality regarding the manuscript.

Evaluating an Article

When assessing a manuscript, consider the following aspects:

  • Originality and contribution to the field.
  • Completeness of the literature review and relevance of references.
  • Soundness of methodology and accuracy of data interpretation.
  • Clarity, organization, and coherence of presentation.
  • Significance of results and their alignment with the research objectives.
  • Ethical compliance and adherence to publication standards.

Section-by-Section Checklist

  • Abstract: Concise, self-contained, and reflective of key findings (≤ 250 words).
  • Introduction: Establishes context, novelty, and clear research objective.
  • Methodology: Transparent, detailed, and replicable.
  • Results: Logically presented and statistically valid.
  • Discussion: Interprets findings meaningfully and acknowledges limitations.
  • Conclusion: Supported by evidence, introduces no new claims.
  • References: Relevant, recent, and balanced; avoid excessive self-citations.

Writing the Review

Please structure your review clearly under the following sections:

  1. Summary: Briefly restate the purpose and key findings of the paper.
  2. Major Concerns: Substantial issues affecting the paper’s validity or quality.
  3. Minor Concerns: Minor corrections or suggestions for improvement.
  4. Overall Feedback: Provide a balanced evaluation highlighting both strengths and weaknesses.

Final publication decisions rest with the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewer feedback.

Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools

Reviewers must not use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to draft or summarize reviews.
Manuscripts under review are strictly confidential, and reviewers are responsible for their own professional judgment.

Ethical Responsibilities

Author Misconduct

Examples include:

  • Plagiarism: Using others’ work without proper attribution.
  • Duplicate or parallel submission: Submitting to multiple journals simultaneously.
  • Data fabrication/falsification: Inventing, altering, or omitting data.
  • Image manipulation: Altering images to misrepresent findings.
  • Improper authorship: Adding or omitting authors incorrectly.
  • Citation stacking: Including irrelevant citations to boost metrics.

If you suspect any form of misconduct, inform the editor immediately. Your identity will be kept confidential.

Reviewer Misconduct

Reviewers must avoid:

  • Breach of confidentiality: Sharing or using unpublished material.
  • Direct communication with authors regarding the manuscript.
  • Citation coercion: Requesting unnecessary or self-promoting citations.
  • Conflict of interest: Reviewing work by collaborators, students, or competitors.
