Abstract
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of mortality worldwide, accounting for millions of deaths each year. Lifestyle factors, particularly dietary habits, play a critical role in the development and prevention of cardiovascular conditions. This paper examines the relationship between nutrition and cardiovascular health, focusing on dietary patterns, essential nutrients, risk factors, and evidence-based prevention strategies. A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. Public health initiatives promoting healthy eating behaviors are essential for reducing the global burden of cardiovascular diseases. The findings suggest that nutritional interventions should be considered a cornerstone of cardiovascular disease prevention.
