Correction and Withdrawal Policy

Jana Nexus: Journal of Health and Medicine

Jana Nexus: Journal of Health and Medicine is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of the scholarly record. This policy outlines the procedures for manuscript correction, withdrawal, and post-publication updates in accordance with international publishing best practices.

  1. Corrections at Initial (Pre-Publication) Stage
  • Authors are encouraged to carefully review manuscripts before submission.
  • Minor corrections (typographical, formatting, language improvements, and reviewer-suggested changes) are permitted during the initial editorial and peer review stages.
  • Once a manuscript enters the final production stage (copyediting, layout, DOI assignment), major changes are not permitted, except in cases of serious error or ethical concern.

  1. Post-Publication Corrections
  • Corrections (Errata) will be issued for errors that affect clarity, accuracy, or interpretation but do not invalidate the findings.
  • Expressions of Concern may be published if an investigation is ongoing.
  • Retractions will be issued for serious ethical breaches, data fabrication, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unreliable findings.

All post-publication notices will be clearly linked to the original article and permanently available.

  1. Manuscript Withdrawal Policy
  • Authors may request withdrawal before peer review by submitting a written request with justification.
  • Withdrawal requests after peer review or acceptance will be considered only under exceptional circumstances and require editorial approval.
  • Manuscripts cannot be withdrawn once they have entered the final production or publication stage.

  1. Publication Charges and Refund Policy
  • All publication fees, once paid, are strictly non-refundable, regardless of withdrawal, rejection at later stages, or author-initiated cancellation.
  • Fees are charged to cover editorial processing, peer review management, DOI registration, copyediting, and administrative expenses.
  • By making the payment, authors acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.

  1. Author Responsibility
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy of submitted content, author details, affiliations, funding information, and references.
  • Requests for authorship changes after acceptance are discouraged and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis with written consent from all authors.

  1. Editorial Authority and Ethics
  • The editorial team reserves the right to correct, retract, or remove articles in cases of proven ethical misconduct, following established ethical guidelines.
  • In serious cases, authors’ institutions or funding bodies may be informed.

  1. Appeals
  • Authors may appeal editorial decisions related to corrections or withdrawal by submitting a formal explanation.
  • Appeals will be reviewed by senior editorial members, and the Editor-in-Chief’s decision is final.

  1. Policy Review

This policy is periodically reviewed and updated to ensure alignment with international publishing standards and ethical best practices.
